Establishing a self-dependent Chair of Food Biochemistry managed by Associate Professor Piotr Masłowski, PhD, Dr Habil. (full prof. 1986) at the Faculty of Dairy Science and Food Technology. The didactic team of the Chair conducts classes in food biochemistry (the first subject) with students of the Faculty of Dairy Science and Food Technology and the Faculty of Agriculture at full-time and extramural studies.
1.10.1969The management of the Chair is taken over by Associate Professor Władysław Damicz, PhD, Dr Habil. (full prof. 1978). Classes in biochemistry at the Faculty of Agriculture are taken over by the academic staff of the Chair of Plant Physiology.
1.09.1970The Chair of Food Biochemistry is incorporated in the newly established Institute of Food Physics and Chemistry as the Department of Food Biochemistry. The academic staff starts to deliver classes in organic chemistry (the second subject).
1.10.1987The management of the Department of Food Biochemistry is taken over by Associate Professor Henryk Kostyra, PhD, Dr Habil. (full prof. 1994).
1.11.1988The Department of Food Biochemistry becomes an integral part of the Institute of Food Biotechnology.
1.05.1989 – 30.09.2012The Management of the Department of Food Biochemistry is taken over by Professor Jerzy Dziuba, PhD, Dr Habil. (full prof. 1992).
1.10.1990The staff of the Department delivers classes: Some issues of enzymology (the third subject) within the framework of biotechnology classes.
1997Transforming the Department of Food Biochemistry into the Chair of Food Biochemistry. The staff of the Chair of Food Biochemistry starts to deliver courses in the subject: Food biotechnology – selected sections (the fourth subject).
1.10.1998The staff of the Chair of Food Biochemistry starts to deliver classes in general chemistry (the fifth subject).
1999The staff of the Chair of Food Biochemistry starts to deliver classes in Organic chemistry with biochemistry (the sixth subject).
01.01.2003The Chair of Food Biochemistry becomes the autonomic institution.
